Transcurría el minuto 28 del segundo tiempo en el partido que Deportes Tolima y Atlético Junior empataron 0-0 por Copa Colombia y el arbitro Adrian Vélez le mostró tarjeta amarilla al portero Sebastian Viera por perdida deliberada de tiempo a los que el uruguayo le reclamó airadamente, lo que hizo que el colegiado le enseñara el segundo cartón amarillo y el guardameta «tiburón» se fue expulsado. Camino al vestuario el asistente de utilería del equipo se acerco al arquero que con la sangre caliente por la acontecido lo empujó.

A través de su cuenta de twitter, y acompañado por Sergio Mondragón, Viera expresó disculpas por su comportamiento.

 

Además fue entrevistado por el periódico local El Heraldo de Barranquilla, donde contó su versión de lo sucedido desde el momento en que vio la doble cartulina amarilla.
