Después de casi dos años sin poderse resolver el hecho, Millonarios ha logrado un acuerdo para resarcir un fichaje que no se había logrado aclarar, ni por parte del club ni del Jugador.

La demanda inicial fue hecha por parte del club árabe Al- Hilal, debido a que según indicó el equipo de medio Oriente, al momento del fichaje el jugador todavía se encontraba vinculado al club, por lo que adeudó la cifra de $1’400.000 euros, incluyendo al club bogotano y al jugador brasileño. Aunque este sólo estuvo por 6 meses en el club.

La FIFA incluso intervino en ese caso, donde tras dos años de que el tema no se resolviera fue el actual presidente junto con el abogado del club quienes resolvieron el lío y acordaron con el jugador el pago de 400.000 euros, que finalmente se le exigía al brasileño.

Lopes actualmente se encuentra jugando en un equipo de la Serie A2 de Brasil, e incluso hace unos meses tuvo que salir a desmentir su supuesta muerte, que venía circulando en distintos medios de su país.
