El marcador del partido se abrió muy temprano, pues al minuto 5, Javier López anotó el primer gol del compromiso, que puso a ganar al cuadro local, 12 minutos después, Envigado se acercó para empatar por medio de un tiro libre, pero Rufay respondió bien y en otro intentó del ‘naranja’, el balón pasó por encima del arco. El conjunto visitante quería igualar y volvió al arco del guardameta ‘cardenal’ con un remate de Pérez, sin embargo, tampoco le salió y a los 44′ Santa aumentó la cuenta por parte de Juan Manuel Falcón.

En el segundo tiempo, Kevin y Gómez crearon una jugada en la que el portero ‘naranja’ se quedó con el balón en sus manos y Envigado trató de disminuir la cuenta con un par de remates, pero Rufay evitó la caida de su arco. En generar, fue un partido tranquilo, en el que Santa fe ganó bien y aprovechó los errores del rival para quearse con los tres puntos y sumar 9 unidades en lo que va de la Liga Águila-II.
