En el primer partido de la UEFA Champions League para el Arsenal en esta temporada, David Ospina, el arquero cafetero, sorprendió a todos por su aparición en el onceno titular frente a PSG.

Luego, dejó entrever que David tendría más oportunidades como guardameta del Arsenal en esta temporada.

«Cech y Ospina son dos porteros de clase mundial. Y creo que en la temporada tenemos los suficientes partidos como para darle partidos a ambos».

Con estas palabras, el estratega del equipo inglés despejó las especulaciones sobre una posible lesión del portero checo, Petr Cech, y que fue netamente una decisión estratégica que el portero colombiano, aprovecho muy bien, con atajadas que sirvieron para que el equipo no cayera goleado en el estadio Parque de los Príncipes.
