Cerrando la segunda fecha de la Liga Águila-II, Once Caldas y Alianza Petrolera se encontraron en el estadio Palogrande de Manizales. El ‘blanco blanco’ tenía la ilusión de quedarse con la victoria y sumar tres puntos a los que ya coniguió en Pasto en la primera fecha. Mientras que el cuadro visitante esperaba ganar, pues en su debut, igualó a tres goles con Atlético Nacional. Sin embargo, ninguno de los dos se quedó con los tres puntos y se  lograron con un empate que llegó, al igual que en varios partidos de esta fecha, en los minutos de adición.

Durante el primer tiempo y en lo general del partido , ninguno de los dos equipos se destacó y no se vieron más de dos emociones, que no tuvieron mayor trascendencia, una de ellas fue por parte del ‘tiburón’ Romero, que sobresalio en pocas ocasiones. No obstante, los dirigidos los Javier Torrente mantuvieron el orden y la disciplina.

En el segundo tiempo, una de las pocas llegadas del ‘blanco blanco’ que se destacó, fue la de Daniel Hernández, quien trató de sorprender al guardameta visitante tras un tiro de esquina, pero el arquero de Alianza Petrolera respondió bien.  Y cuando el Once Caldas trataba de meorar su juego y exaltarse, el árbitro encargado de imparti justicia, declaró pena máxima a favor del cuadro visitante, que Jhoao Hinestroza convirtió en gol con ppotencia.

No fue un partido emocionante y tampoco llamativo, ni  Once Caldas, ni Alianza Petrolera se destacaron en ningun sentido, aunque el conjunto local generó más llegadas y trato de imponerse un poco más que el rival, aunque por poco se queda con las manos vacias. Tal cual como en el partido de Junior y Medellí, o el de Tolima y Cali, la escuadra de Javier Torrente empató el compromiso en el último suspiro. El gol llegó tras un saque de banda y Daniel Hernández se encargó de definir y rescatar un punto.
