‘Embajadores’ y ‘azucareros’ adelantaron la fecha 13 de la Liga Águila-II, en un partido que no tuvo muchas emociones, un compromiso en el que el Cali no generó ninguna opción clara de gol y en el que un penal le concedió el triunfo a Millonarios.

El cuadro ‘embajador’ contó con la presencia en las gradas de Diego Cocca, nombrado en la últimas horas como nuevo director técnico del club capitalino, aunque el encargado de dirigir este encuentro fue el ‘Chamo’ Serna.

La primera parte no tuvo mucha acción, Millonarios se acercó en solo dos ocaciones al pórtico de Camilo Vargas, una de esas fue un remate de Rafael Robayo. Sin embargo los embajadores manejaban el balón pero sin progreso ofensivo. El onceno de Mario Yepes no tuvo opciones claras, aunque se acercó por el sector derecho, pero en la mayoría del tiempo se metió atrás.

En la segunda parte, Deportivo Cali se volvió mas ofensivo, pero Millonarios creó su primera opción clara al minuto 52, tras una filtración de Jonathan Estrada que Dairon Asprilla no logró concretar, los azucareros respondieron junto al ex embajador Mayer Candelo quien realizó un remate de media distancia pero no generó mucho peligro.

Finalmente, al minuto 82, Aquivaldo Mosquera cometió una mano en el área y el juez decretó penal a favor de Millonarios, que fue definido por Carlos Henano, quien le dio la victoria a los azules ubicándolos en la cuarta posición con 14 puntos y ya con la mente puesta en lo que será Atlético Nacional en el Atanasio Girardot el domingo por la novena fecha
