El cuadro ‘Embajador’ nunca le ha ganado de visitante a Rionegro Aguilas desde el ascenso de éste.

El equipo de Miguel Ángel Russo no le ha ganado nunca a Águilas ya sea en Rionegro, Itagüí o Pereira, sedes que ha tenido el equipo Talento Dorado S.A en condición de visitante por Liga Águila, el saldo es cuatro derrotas y dos empates.

Rionegro por su parte no conoce la victoria en 2017. Su saldo es de dos empates (Alianza, América) y una derrota (Nacional). Otro dato nada alentador para el equipo dorado es que no ha marcado goles en los tres partidos jugados este año. 3-0, 0-0 y 0-0 han sido los marcadores.

Millonarios ha visitado en seis oportunidades desde el ascenso en 2011 de Talento dorado (tres en Itagüí, dos en Pereira y una en Rionegro) los resultados no son nada alentadores para los de la capital:

  1. 21/Septiembre de 2011: Aguilas 2-1 Millonarios
  2. 15/Septiembre de 2012: Aguilas 1-0 Millonarios 
  3. 29/Septiembre de 2013: Aguilas 2-2 Millonarios 
  4. 24/septiembre de 2014: Aguilas 4-2 Millonarios.
  5. 10/Marzo de 2015: Aguilas 0-0 Millonarios.
  6. 24/Febrero de 2016: Aguilas 2-1 Millonarios. 

Contra los unicos equipos que Millonarios tiene más un historial negativo son Cali y precisamente Aguilas, de 12 partidos disputados desde el ascenso en 2011, los de Rionegro han ganado en cinco oportunidades, empatado en tres y perdido en cuatro ocasiones ante Millonarios, todas estas en el campín.

Millonarios por su parte llega con solo dos partidos jugados, una derrota vs Medellín y una victoria vs Bucaramanga. Suma 3 puntos con una diferencia de +2. El equipo ‘Embajador’ en torneos oficiales (Libertadores y Liga Aguila) ha marcado cinco goles y todos de diferente jugador. Los goleadores de 2017 han sido Quiñonez (DIM), Duque (Paranaense), Kouffaty, Machado y Arango (Bucaramanga). Será el primer partido de visitante de Millonarios por Liga Águila en esta temporada.

Son tres los jugadores que vistieron la camiseta Millonarios y hoy juegan con Rionegro Águilas: Luis “Leticiano” Mosquera, Juan Esteban Ortiz y Luis Páez. Dos campeones con el cuadro ´Embajador’

El partido se jugará el Domingo 19 de Febrero a las 3:00 pm con transmisión de RCN. El árbitro designado para dicho partido es Gustavo Murillo oriundo de Chocó, estará acompañado en las laterales por Humberto Clavijo y Luis Navarro. Oscar Gómez será el cuarto árbitro. Según datos de MundoMillos; los dos últimos partidos arbitrados por Murillo a Millonarios fueron clásicos capitalinos, los cuales fueron victorias azules. la edición 285 y 286: Los marcadores fueron 2-0 y 1-0 respectivamente.

MundoMillos afirma que «el último juego que nuestro equipo jugó en condición de visitante con el arbitraje de Gustavo Murillo fue en Techo, el 6 de agosto de 2015, enfrentando a Patriotas con resultado final 3-2 a favor (tripleta de Michael Rangel).»

La hinchada de Millonarios es vetada de Rionegro.

Aunque en muchas canchas de fútbol colombiano se promueve el hincha visitante parece que para los antioqueños esto no es bien visto, el equipo azul tiene la entrada prohibida la entrada tanto en Medellín como en Rionegro. Para este ultimo partido, Aguilas a través de un comunicado de prensa dio a conocer las disposiciones de boletería y las condiciones para adquirir ésta para el partido de ante Millonarios en el estadio Alberto Grisales. En un claro gesto de Xenofobia (RAE: fobia a los extranjeros) se estableció que:

  1. La boletería no se pondrá a la venta, será gratis, pero solo podrán reclamar entrada aquellas personas que lleven un recibo de servicio público de alguno de los municipios del Oriente antioqueño. Por persona, solo se podrán reclamar máximo dos entradas.
  2. Estas entradas se reclamarán en el IMER (Instituto Municipal de Educación Física, Deporte y Recreación de Rionegro)
  3. No se permitirá el acceso de barras organizadas ni de ningún elemento alusivo a Millonarios F. C. (camisetas, gorras, banderas, etc).
