¡El héroe del último título de Millonarios está de cumpleaños!

Luis Delgado es recordado por toda la afición Embajadora por ser una figura clave en la conquista de la estrella 14. El arquero cobró el último penalti de la serie y fue el mismo que dio la mayor alegría a millones de personas al atajar el penalti definitivo a Andres Correa, juvenil de Medellín.

Pero antes de esta gesta Lucho Delgado fue uno de los precursores en el despertar de Millonarios, en el campín ante el América en 2010 el guardameta paró un penalti definitivo al minuto 35 a Gabriel Fernandez, esa noche, los embajadores ganaron 2-0 y se empezaría a cumplir el sueño de él y de millones, que «la gente sea feliz, eso es lo importante» dijo luego del partido un 26 de septiembre de 2010.

Pero no todo fue felicidad, como todas las grandes conquistas tiene sufrimiento detrás  y Delgado la vivió  en carne propia. Él y su esposa Tatiana lucharon contra una dura enfermedad como lo es el cáncer, pero mientras él luchaba en la cancha, ella, gladiadora, luchaba para no lograr un título sino para seguir siendo el motor de vida del guardameta.

Ese 16 de diciembre de 2012 con estadio lleno y millones de hinchas colmando las calles de la capital, Delgado se puso la capa de superhéroe y voló por la felicidad no solo de un equipo sino de una ciudad. Después de esa proesa, el arquero sostuvo que «Dios nunca nos desamparó, en especial a mí, le hice una promesa de darle el título y allí está. Se lo dedico también a mi familia que vive en Bucaramanga, a la gente que vino al estadio y a todas las mujeres que están enfermas de cáncer de seno, porque sé que todas van a salir adelante”

Delgado se fue de la institución albiazul en el 2015 dejando grandes registros, anotó 4 goles con el cuadro embajador siendo este el mejor registro para un arquero en la historia del club.
