Un partido impresionante, se podría decir que fue este duelo entre italianos y suecos. Como se veía en la previa, el duelo más interesante suponía ser el de Buffon (38 años) vs Ibrahimovic (34 años), que al final no terminó siendo tan destacado como se pensaba.

Ya en materia del partido el primer tiempo tuvo muy poco, al igual que sus protagonistas, quienes no se mostraron como dos plantillas fuertes, sino que tratando de estudiarse el uno con el otro, así mismo lo reflejaron las estadísticas, con 2 disparos por bando, 1 a puerta de la «nazionale» y ninguno por parte de los comandados por «Ibra».

Para el segundo tiempo, el asunto fue muy distinto. Un partido que a pesar de no ser muy vistoso, al final fue emocionante de ambos lados. Dejando curiosidades como que en esta edición se han anotado 11 goles luego del minuto 87, con lo cual se ve que los partidos de esta Eurocopa están siendo muy reñidos y se definen hasta el final. De igual forma hay que decir Italia con este lleva 34 partidos sin marcar más de dos goles por Eurocopa. En el tema de la clasificación, Italia queda lider con 6 puntos, mientras que los suecos con un punto se jugarán la vida en la última jornada ante la siempre complicada Bélgica.
