Ya para la segunda parte, ambos equipos no salieron con la misma intensidad que mostraron en los primeros cuarenta y cinco, y más allá de que el técnico tratara de cambiar el resultado con el ingreso de Omar Pérez, este no fue suficiente para acabar con esa racha de empates que persigue a Santa Fe desde hace cinco partidos, incluyendo este. Pues ante Tolima, Equidad, Jaguares y América, sumó de a un punto, algo que no evitó que el León quedara como líder momentáneo de la Liga Águila ya que Junior podría arrebatarle el puesto solo si le gana a Deportivo Pasto.

Ya con la clasificación y con la tranquilidad de ser cabeza de serie en los Play Offs, Gregorio Pérez tiene que trabajar de cara a lo que será esa ronda definitiva para poder conseguir algo importante en este campeonato, pues la polvora goleadora del equipo está apagada, y para poder avanzar de fases tendrá que tener más eficacia frente al arco debido a que en los últimos cinco partidos, tan solo anotó tres goles.
