En dialogo con un programa radial colombiano, Enrique Camacho, máximo dirigente del club embajador, se refirió a los complicados momentos que vivió el equipo en el transcurso del año, y decidió compararlo con el último campeón de la UEFA Champions League por la poca paciencia que hay en las dos hinchadas.

“En Millonarios no hay paciencia, nosotros somos el Real Madrid de Colombia, entonces hay que ganar todos los partidos y a veces no se puede mientras uno está construyendo el equipo”. 

Respecto a la construcción del equipo, Camacho explicó que en los tiempos actuales, crear instituciones solidas requiere de mucho tiempo.

«He intentado orientar a una institución en tiempos modernos donde el fútbol se ha convertido en una industria espectacular. Eso hace que uno tenga que crear instituciones sólidas, con cultura organizacional definida, para que se preserve en estos tiempos modernos”, agregó el presidente del cuadro embajador.

También respondió a todas las críticas que han hecho los aficionados por su dirigencia, y argumentó que en este deporte, las cosas son así.

«En el negocio del fútbol uno vive más de rechazos, de críticas, de ofensas, que de felicitaciones y esa es la parte desagradecida pero realista del deporte”.
