El cordobés superó el registro goleador en torneos cortos.

De haberse quedado plantado en el aeropuerto Alfonso Bonilla Aragón de Cali a hacer historia. Lo de Miguel Borja esta temporada se puede resumir en una sola palabra: Espectacular. El joven delantero del Cortuluá, a pesar de quedar a las puertas de la final, hizo el gol con el que rompió el record de más goles en un torneo corto del Fútbol Profesional Colombiano, al llegar a 19 goles y superar por uno a un tal Jackson Martínez, quien hizo el record jugando para el DIM, justamente el equipo que hoy evitó que Borja avanzara a la final para seguir aumentando la cifra.

Cuando sucedió el lamentable suceso en el que lo tuvieron en el aeropuerto de Cali listo para viajar con la sub-23 que disputaba en ese momento el repechaje por ir a los Olímpicos frente a Estados Unidos, y a última hora le dijeron que ya no iba porque el que ahora iba a reemplazar a Borré sería Guillermo Celis, el del Cortuluá llevaba 3 goles en 7 partidos de liga, y tal parece que esto en vez de afectarlo lo animó aún más, al punto de terminar el torneo con 19 goles en 22 partidos disputados.

En Cortuluá encontró la confianza que necesitaba para explotar y vaya si lo hizo. Ahora, luego de esto tendrá que volver a Santa Fe, quien es dueño de su pase, y de ahí se decidirá su futuro. Suponemos que Santa Fe querrá retenerlo, pero ante las ofertas -principalmente de Nacional y Cali- que hay por él vemos la situación complicada. Ojalá, sea el club en el que juegue, se le siga brindando esa confianza que lo llevó a mostrar este gran nivel, y se le sepa llevar de buena manera para tal vez ser una de las apuestas de la Selección Colombia a futuro.
