La UEFA quiere que los jugadores no celebren sus triunfos con sus familiares dentro del césped.

A partir del Martes la UEFA solicitó que después de cada partido solo podrán ingresar al césped las personas con acreditación oficial puesto que en partidos anteriores ingresaban familiares de los jugadores a celebrar o consolar. Esa decisión fue notificada por el director ejecutivo de la Eurocopa 2016, Martin Kallen:

«No estamos totalmente en contra, pero tenemos que ser prudentes y garantizar la seguridad. Cada vez parece que hay una mayor costumbre, pero esto es un campeonato de Europa, no una fiesta familiar. En nuestra opinión debe haber un cierto orden. Al césped sólo pueden acceder personas con acreditación, nadie más».

Además, en una conferencia de prensa Kallen habló sobre el césped pues en ingreso de otras personas ajenas a la organización la lo pueden afectar:

«El césped siempre genera dudas porque se utiliza mucho»

Y por último se refirió al ingreso de los familiares al terreno de juego.
