Millonarios jugará contra  Atlético Nacional en el estadio Atanasio Girardot a las 6: 00 p.m, por la fecha 9 de la Liga Águila. El conjunto embajador sabe que esta victoria podría calmar las criticas que vienen recibiendo por el mal momento que pasa el equipo y sería un golpe anímico para seguir sumando puntos y clasificarse a la siguiente ronda de la Liga Águila.

Tras la salida del técnico Rubel Israel hace unas semanas, Millonarios ha ganado 6 puntos en dos fechas siendo dirigido por técnico interino de las divisiones inferiores, Jorge «Chamo» Serna, pero su ciclo acaba el día de hoy ya que para la siguiente fecha el nuevo entrenador albiazul, Diego Cocca, cogerá las riendas del equipo capitalino. El capitán, Rafael Robayo, habló sobre serna y dijo:

“Conozco desde los diez años al profesor Serna. Sigue siendo un hombre sencillo, humilde y trabajador. Estamos terminando esta etapa con él y queremos cerrarla con una victoria, que sería importante para la confianza del grupo”.

En el último partido que jugaron estos dos equipos el pasado 31 de marzo del presente año, Millonarios ganó de local 2-1 y Jonathan Estrada fue una de las figuras, previo a este nuevo partido, el 10 albiazul declaró:

“Sabemos de la dificultad del compromiso. Trataremos de contrarrestar lo que ellos puedan hacer, ajustar las líneas y hacer nuestro fútbol para ganar. No será fácil, pero estos partidos son parejos y puede pasar cualquier cosa”.

Por otro lado, la situación de Atlético Nacional si es muy diferente, el conjunto paisa tuvo que disputar dos partidos en tan solo dos días, primero frente a Deportivo Municipal en la Copa Suramericana el miércoles y el jueves a Real Cartagena por la Copa Águila. El conjunto «verdolaga» no quiere descuidar ningún frente así que jugará todos los partidos que sean necesarios para llevarse todos los campeonatos que dispute.
