Millonarios respiró, venció 0-3 al Huila en condición de visitante en un partido el cual a medida que fue transcurriendo el tiempo se tornó más fácil para el equipo de la capital. El embajador llegaba con varias dudas al choque ya que venía de dejar una pobre imagen de su último partido disputado en el Metropolitano ante el Junior de Barranquilla, quedando al margen de posibilidades de entrar a los ocho y poniéndolo hoy en la obligación de ganar frente al equipo de Neiva.

En la primera mitad  el partido se disputaba en juego largo de parte de los dos equipos, no había un dominador claro en el encuentro que se jugaba a casi 36º de temperatura. La ventaja que rompería el partido a favor del equipo azul llegaría al minuto 31 gracias a un error de la defensa del equipo local que capitalizó Ayron Del Valle. Así terminaría la primera parte.

En los últimos 45 minutos Millonarios siguió con el dominio del partido, Huila no mostraba señales de mejoras. La segunda anotación de Millonarios llegó al minuto 63 por Oscar Barreto, gol con el cual Millonarios liquidó el partido prácticamente por la actitud del equipo local. Seguido a esto el azul se encontraría rápidamente con el gol definitivo al minuto 76, en el que Maxi Núñez demostró toda su calidad en una definición exquisita tirando el balón por arriba del portero que nada tuvo que hacer, Millos después de esto dio trámite al partido, Huila se acercó pero no pudo definir ante Vikonis.

Con esta victoria Millonarios se mete con lo justo en el octavo lugar con 30 puntos y una diferencia de gol de tres goles a favor (menor que la de Santa Fe y Tolima), dejando así su suerte para el próximo fin de semana donde recibirá a el DIM en lo que será una final adelantada para el equipo albiazul, ya que sí o sí, para no pasar ningún susto de más el resultado que tiene que sacar es la victoria.
