Buenas sensaciones dejó la participación del combinado juvenil en este cuadrangular amistoso que disputaron en Arequipa, Perú. A pesar de que en la tercera y última jornada derrotaron al local por 0-2 no fue suficiente para salir campeones.

En el último encuentro fueron además superiores al conjunto peruano, además de encontrarse con una buena efectividad que les permitió conseguir el triunfo en la primera mitad con anotaciones de Michael Nike Gómez y del también atacante Jorge Obregón, que milita en Llaneros del Torneo Águila.

El saldo final del torneo dejó para Colombia dos triunfos (1-0 ante Paraguay y 2-0 contra Perú) y una derrota en la primera jornada ante Venezuela por 1-0. Además de otra buena noticia que fue la elección de Manuel Arias como el mejor portero. Así mismo fueron los venezolanos quienes tras vencer 5-1 a Paraguay se consagraron campeones de esta Copa

La selección regresará hoy al país y ya pensarán en el mes de enero cuando disputen el Sudamericano de la categoría en Ecuador, todo en búsqueda de un cupo rumbo al Mundial del año que viene en Corea del Sur.
