Independiente Medellín busca continuar en los primeros puestos de la Liga en su visita a Rionegro

Los dirigidos por Luis Zubeldía no quieren perderle el paso a Atlético Nacional y buscarán su cuarta victoria en condición de visitante en la presente Liga.

Cuatro puntos separan a Independiente Medellín del líder Atlético Nacional; 25 puntos producto de 8 victorias, un empate y 3 derrotas, ubican al ‘Poderoso’ en la segunda posición del torneo, 3 puntos por encima de Deportivo Pasto. Por parte del conjunto de las »Águilas Doradas», 2 victorias, 5 derrotas y 5 empates lo ubican en la penúltima casilla de la Liga con 11 puntos, los mismos que Cortuluá y Envigado.

Medellín viene de caer en condición de visitante frente a Emelec por 2 a 1 por la Copa Libertadores. Respecto a la Liga Águila, el conjunto paisa cayó en casa por la mínima frente a Atlético Bucaramanga, un resultado inesperado para todos. Rionegro Águilas viene de derrotar por la Copa Águila a Leones por 3 a 0 y en la última jornada de la Liga fue derrotado en Palmaseca por Deportivo Cali.

En el historial entre estos dos conjuntos, se registran 16 encuentros de los cuales 6 han sido victoria para el ‘DIM’, 4 para Rioengro Águilas y en 6 ocasiones han terminado en igualdad. De los últimos 5 encuentros entre estos dos equipos, el inivicto ha sido para Medellín (3V y 2E).

Como novedad para este encuentro está el importante regreso de la figura de Medellín, Juan Fernando Quintero. De igual manera, podría ser el debut del golero Nelson Ramos en el arco del ‘Poderoso’. Por parte de los locales, la única novedad es la ausencia del zaguero central Hanyer Mosquera, el cual fue expulsado en la fecha pasada.

Este encuentro correspondiente a la decimotercera fecha de la Liga Águila 2017-I, se disputará el domingo 16 de Abril a las 6:00 pm en el estadio Alberto Grisales con transmisión de Win Sports.
