Con la necesidad de sumar de a tres puntos para abandonar los últimos lugares de la tabla, las dos escuadras buscarán obtener el triunfo, que ha sido escaso en lo que va del torneo para ambos conjuntos.

Por un lado, Junior llega a la ciudad de Bogotá luego de sumar su segunda victoria en el campeonato. Bajo las ordenes de Julio Comesaña lograron obtener los tres puntos, quien en su primer partido como técnico del equipo ‘tiburón’ en la actual temporada, debutó con victoria frente a Cortuluá con un marcador 2-1 en el Metropolitano.

La escuadra ‘rojiblanca’ buscará sumar de a tres en condición de visitante, pues las únicas dos victorias que registra las ha conseguido en casa. Así mismo, acumula 10 puntos más un partido pendiente (vs Nacional); ubicándose en la décimo sexta posición. De igual forma, registra cuatro empates y cuatro derrotas en la liga.

Por otra parte, el equipo capitalino también registra dos victorias en lo que va del torneo y se ubica en la casilla 18 con 10 puntos, además de sumar cuatro empates y cinco derrotas. Los dirigidos por John Bodmer, prepararon durante la semana lo que va a ser el próximo encuentro frente a Junior, pues en sus últimos cinco partidos solo ha podido sumar cinco puntos de 15 posibles. Un balance no muy positivo para los ‘felinos’, pues en la fecha pasada perdieron 3-0 visitando al Deportes Tolima.
