José Pékerman está preparando la convocatoria para los próximos duelos del 10 de noviembre ante Chile y el 15 frente a Argentina a domicilio, por lo que últimamente ha surgido un gran debate acerca de quienes deben ser los delanteros que tendría que llamar el estratega argentino, sabiendo las falencias de los últimos encuentros por parte de los delanteros utilizados.

Al mismo tiempo se ha llevado todo a un debate si debe ser un frente a frente entre la actualidad que traen algunos jugadores contra los que se inclinan por la historia, es decir, los que conocen lo que es vestir la tricolor y que han tenido varias convocatorias y al mismo tiempo oportunidades de jugar. Por eso a continuación hacemos un repaso de quienes vienen siendo importantes y al mismo tiempo quienes han decaído su nivel:

El actual delantero de Atlético Nacional es el que mucho piden y señalan que será convocado para los encuentros venideros de la eliminatoria y no es para menos si se tiene en cuenta la cifra de goles y lo determinante que ha sido con el elenco antioqueño a nivel internacional. 39 goles en la temporada (entre Cortuluá y Nacional) que lo sitúan entre los 5 goleadores a nivel mundial casi a la par de Cristiano Ronaldo o Messi, por lo que son números nada despreciables para un equipo que ha dependido de goles de jugadores que no son delanteros.

No es sencillo destacarse en el fútbol mexicano y más si previamente se había tenido un paso muy discreto, por lo que el presente del ex Millonarios le da cartel para poder entrar en la lista. 10 anotaciones en 15 duelos en la Liga MX lo avalan para poder ser tenido en cuenta, además de ser el actual goleador del fútbol mexicano.

Quizás un nombre que muchos no conocen, pero si Borja tiene 39 goles hasta el momento, el ex Medellín no tiene mucho que envidiarle, ya que suma 30 anotaciones con tan sólo 20 años anotados con el Helsinki de Finlandia. Quizás esto útlimo es el hecho que lo condiciona, que no está en una liga de renombre, pero con un futuro prometedor y que dentro de poco podría estar emigrando a otro elenco europeo de mayor nivel. En la lista de goleadores del mundo aparece en el séptimo lugar.

A pesar de que no ha estado fino cuando ha ingresado con la selección, no es cualquier jugador. Aunque juegue en China puede ser un delantero bueno en el área y todo depende también si puede mejorar la definición y como lo maneje tácticamente el equipo. 10 goles con el subcampeón chino Jiangsu Suning y algunos goles antes con Racing pueden darle un aval de volver a estar en la nómina.

Ha hecho goles importantes para el Udinese (5 en la temporada) y se puede aprovechar si se necesita un delantero aguerrido y que la luche en el frente de ataque. Tiene experiencia de haber jugado en Napoli y Estudiantes de La Plata. Además hizo procesos con la sub-20 cuando militaban James y Muriel entre otros.

Hoy es el capitán del Mónaco, aunque las lesiones siguen siendo su «piedra en el zapato», además tras el choque con el portero Cardinale del Niza ha jugado poco, aunque resta esperar si puede hacer goles y jugar 90 minutos los próximos encuentros con el equipo del principado. Suma 4 goles en la temporada, 2 en Ligue 1 y 2 en la fase previa de la Champions League.

«Teo» no la ha tenido fácil desde su desembarco en Rosario Central, proveniente del Sporting Lisboa. El delantero ex Porto y Atlético Madrid ha tenido un bajo rendimiento en la más reciente temporada con el Guangzhou Evergrande. No es el mismo joven talento que deslumbró en el último tiempo en el campeón de América, Atlético Nacional. Marlos no se ha podido adaptar de la mejor manera y aún le cuesta ser relevante en un equipo de muchos altibajos como el Deportivo La Coruña. No ha sido fácil para Bacca los últimos encuentros, tanto con el Milán como en la selección Colombia. «Adriancho» ha sido condenado al banco de suplentes prácticamente tras su llegada a mediados de 2014 al Borussia Dortmund. Son pocas las veces que es titular, básicamente sólo cuando son encuentros de no tan alta relevancia o cuando se lesiona Aubameyang por ejemplo. Lo salva un poco su efectividad en esta temporada, debido a que en 3 encuentros que ha jugado en Bundesliga ha anotado 2 tantos, pero su falta de ritmo es lo que preocupa. Puede jugar también como un extremo.
