El colombiano Danilo Moreno Asprilla junto con su equipo, el Al-Ain de los Emiratos Arabes Unidos, terminaron subcampeones de la AFC Champions League de Asia, tras igualar ante el Jeonbuk Motors de Corea del Sur.

Asprilla, quien militó en Santa Fe entre 2012 y 2013, actuó los 90 minutos en el partido de vuelta, disputado en el estadio Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium de Abu Dhabi, en un encuentro que concluyó 1-1, pero por el triunfo de la semana pasada de los surcoreanos 2-1, donde inclusive el colombiano anotó el gol de su equipo, no fue suficiente y no pudieron consagrarse por segunda vez campeones de este certamen continental, el cual ya conquistaron en 2003.
