Hoy vuelve el argentino Gustavo Costas al frente de la escuadra albirroja, no sin antes revelar el equipo que lo solicitó como entrenador

Finalmente, la historia de Santa Fe con Alexis García terminó y se corrían rumores acerca de la vuelta de Gustavo Costas como director técnico de Santa Fe temporada 2016. Parecía lejano el regreso del entrenador que consiguió la estrella número 8 para los santafereños, pero finalmente Cesar Pastrana pudo concretar la incorporación en el país gaucho.

Costas pudo ser entrenador del Junior de Barranquilla, era una opción luego de haber dirigido al Atlas de México y no obtener los resultados esperados, incluso se habló acerca de que era imposible su regreso a Colombia. Lo que nadie esperaba era que una de las ofertas para hacerse como técnico en Bogotá, era de Millonarios.

Como muestra de respeto hacia la institución que lo acompañó en su camino hacia la octava estrella en el 2014 y una superliga en el 2015, Costas decidió volver a vestirse de rojo y dirigirá a Independiente Santa Fe por un año. Es un director técnico querido por la hinchada y sin duda tendrá el apoyo de la gente para enfrentar los torneos que tiene por ganar. Se espera que la actitud de Santa Fe cambie por completo y el equipo juegue al ataque.

Esta noche será la primera prueba para Santa Fe de la mano de un viejo conocido, y espera mostrar el fútbol que tiene en pies de Omar Pérez, Jonathan Gómez, y la joven promesa, Kevin Salazar. Desde las 7:30 pm rodará la pelota en el estadio El Campín frente a Envigado.
