Arturo Vidal se ausentó en el partido de la semifinal de la Copa América Centenario entre la selección chilena y el combinado cafetero. Tras la victoria de su equipo, el jugador de su equipo se refirió a lo que sintió desde las gradas viendo a su equipo jugar.

«Sufrí mucho, sufrí realmente como nunca. Me hubiese encantado haber jugado pero gracias a Dios mis compañeros lo hicieron de la mejor forma y pudimos pasar a la final», comentó Vidal.

Luego fue cuestionado sobre que sentía enfrentar nuevamente a Argentina en una final, ya que hace un año, pero como local, también disputó la final de la Copa América Chile 2015 frente al combinado albiceleste.

«Feliz y con muchas ganas de que ya llegue el partido y de salir a la cancha, dejarlo todo, ganar el título y vamos a dar todo en la cancha para poder llevarnos la copa».

También habló de su rival Colombia y admitió que hizo un gran partido.

«La vi bien (Colombia), es complicado cuando se para mucho el partido, pero la vi bien. Chile tiene buen equipo y pudimos conseguir la victoria».

El volante del Bayern Munich no pudo jugar el partido por acumulación de tarjetas, luego de haber conseguido la tercera amarilla en el torneo, en el partido contra México por cuartos de final, donde se impusieron 7-0 sobre los Aztecas.
