Argentina quiere seguir sin derrotas por Copa América.

El combinado albiceleste se enfrenta ante Estados Unidos por el pase a la final de la Copa América Centenario y los dirigidos por Gerardo Martino son los favoritos, pues desde el 13 de junio de 1999 en un amistoso que se disputó en Washington, los norteamericanos no vencen a los albicelestes. El encuentro terminó 1-0.

Hay muchos motivos por los que Argentina se quiera consagrar campeona de esta copa, pues en los últimos tiempos le ha sido esquivo algún título de importancia que logre consolidar la gran selección de jugadores que tiene el equipo albiceleste.

Pero otro detalle es el invicto que tanto ostenta por Copa América, debido que después de perder en la final de Maracaibo de la Copa América 2007 ante Brasil, por un aplastante 3-0, los argentinos no han caído en el contexto de este certamen desde ese año.

  • En el actual certamen centenario ha conseguido las 4 victorias, venciendo a Chile, Bolivia, Panamá y Venezuela.

En total son 14 partidos sin conocer la derrota por copas América, con 8 victorias y 6 empates. Un invicto que quiere aumentar venciendo a Estados Unidos en el partido que disputará esta noche por las semifinales de la Copa América Centenario.
